Our Traditional Christmas Cheeseboard features a hard, semi-soft and creamy blue cheese to suit every palate, as well as a mini pot of caramelised onion chutney and box of buttermilk crackers. See below for tasting notes. Bix: Produced using pasteurised cow’s milk and double cream from a family farm in Oxfordshire, this indulgent soft cheese is loosely based on Chaource – a white-rind cheese from Champagne country. With a mixture of sweet, salty and buttery flavours that are reminiscent of Camembert, this popular cheese is ideal on a cheeseboard. This cheese is suitable for vegetarians. Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar: Matured in the Wookey Hold Caves in the Mendip Hills, our Cheddar has a porous nature that enables the cheese to take on the distinctive earthy and nutty flavours from the atmosphere. Made with pasteurised milk, this hard cheese is not suitable for vegetarians. Cropwell Bishop Stilton: Traditionally handmade, Cropwell Bishop Stilton is an excellent choice if you are looking for a richly flavoured blue cheese. The finish on the pallet is strong, but perfectly balanced with the creamy and buttery texture of the cheese. Made with pasteurised cow’s milk and animal-based rennet, this blue cheese is not suitable for vegetarians. Miller's Damsel Buttermilk Biscuits: A creamy and tangy wafer made with British buttermilk and butter, these artisan cheese biscuits are the ideal pairing with our Bix or Wigmore Cheese. Produced by a family bakery in the heart of the Peak District, the method of baking these biscuits has been unchanged for over 100 years. Caramelised Onion Marmalade: Perfect with pâté, cheese and pork sausages, this caramelised onion marmalade is something special. Serves 4-6 people.
