This chicken is so much better than supermarket chicken. Meat is tender and tasty.

Excellent chicken, lots of meat, juicy with good flavour, and even the smallest chicken makes 3 meals for the two of us. Significantly better even than supermarket free range.

The chicken that keeps on giving! I’ve tried 1.5kg and 1.6kg and they provide plenty of left overs for 3 of us. This week we’ve had roast, left overs curry and wraps. The quality of the meat really shows especially if you cook it to f&f’s recipe.

Fantastic chicken that beats supermarket chicken by a very long stretch! This chicken is put in the oven and comes out the same size that it went in, unlike supermarket chickens which appear to be pumped full of water. I have to say, it is also superior to supermarket 'free range'. These chickens are fabulously meaty! There are 2 people in our house, and we get 3 meals from this one chicken, 2 roast dinners and a stir fry, or 2 roast dinners and I put the rest toward a pie if I select a larger chicken (with chicken, bacon, mushrooms, broccoli and cream). And there are giblets for gravy! I keep meaning to cook the chicken livers for my husband but have not got around to it yet, but there are appreciative animals in the area that enjoy the giblets when I have finished with them.

As always with a chicken supplied by Field and Flower the meat was moist and succulent when roasted. I find that buying a whole chicken is cost effective as it was initially used for a roast meal for three then plenty of meat for at least two other meals for two in our case a chicken pie and a Thai curry. The carcass I used to make stock which I used as a basis for soup. Just about to place my next order to include another chicken.
