How Field & Flower Works

Recently we’ve welcomed lots of new customers. Over the summer we were getting a lot of questions about how we work, so I have put together a quick guide to help.

This blog takes you behind the scenes, whether you’re a new customer or a seasoned Field & Flower regular, perhaps you’ll find this helpful.

1. We deliver fresh not frozen

We source your products to order from our farmers and producers fresh, and deliver chilled. This gives you the flexibility to eat what you like fresh and freeze everything else.

2. We only sell sustainable free-range meat

Whether this be pioneering land-based salmon, or free-range chicken, we source from small family farms paying them a fair price.

3. Your subscription is flexible

You can change delivery date, delivery frequency, address and box contents whenever you like, as often as you like. You never have to have the same box twice.

4. Delivered to your door in temperature-controlled boxes

Most of you aren’t at home when we deliver and you don’t need to be. Our boxes have been tested and even stay chilled on a hot summer’s day. We will always try and leave in your safe place. Our packaging is recyclable and we encourage you to put it in your household recycling.

5. Nationwide delivery

You can have your Field & Field order delivered anywhere in the UK, other than the Scottish Highlands. We will give you a delivery window on the day of delivery by email or SMS.

6. We’re an independent business

Whilst big businesses control a large proportion of the products you buy in the supermarket, we are proud to be independent supporting British farmers invested in welfare and the countryside.

7. We’re run by a small team...

...of specialists who love helping advise on our free-range meat and fish. I sit with Stacey and Ellie who look after Customer Experience and we’re always at the end of the phone to help.

8. Zero food waste

Have you ever wondered what happens to all the meat that isn’t sold on the supermarket shelves? Sourcing to order means we have empty shelves every day. How? You kindly tell us 5 days before what you would like. If we have anything left because of a cancelled order it goes to FareShare South West.
