January is the month for snuggling up with lovely warming dishes like casseroles, stews and soups. We’ve been very busy in the Field & Flower kitchen cooking up some delicious new recipes to share with you, we hope you enjoy them! You can see all of our recipes here.
Here’s what the Field & Flower team have been packing their boxes with this month…
James Mansfield (Co-founder)
"There’s usually at least one cut of steak in my box, but at the moment I’m favouring our rump steaks. They’re cut from the hind quarter and have a deep, meaty flavour. I love them with creamy mash and roasted seasonal veg."
Willow (Customer team)
"I love combining our free range chicken breasts with spinach, tomatoes, mozzarella and chorizo. This dish is a great winter warmer and is super quick & easy to rustle up so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time snuggled up on the sofa!"
Rachel (Copywriter & Marketing Assistant)
"Mutton cannon has a great depth of flavour and is really tender and lean. Cover the mutton with a mixture of herbs, fennel seeds and a splash of oil before frying in a heavy pan to create a delicious herb crust."
James Flower (Co-founder)
"Our fish pie mix is a firm favourite in my box, especially during the colder weather. The salmon, white fish and smoked haddock comes pre-chopped into bitesize chunks so it’s ready to cook straight away."
Chelsea (Graphic designer)
"It’s all about the stews and soups at this time of year. Our free range diced pork is perfect for slow-cooking. My go-to winter recipe is a warming pork goulash with herby dumplings."
Charlotte (Customer team)
"I love our honey roast ham joint, the honey really brings out the natural sweetness of the meat. After roasting I like to use any leftovers to make a creamy ham and pea risotto. We cooked it recently in the Field & Flower kitchen, so look out for the recipe! It’s coming very soon."
