Six years of partnership with FareShare South West: over 450,000 meals donated

At Field & Flower, we believe good food should never go to waste, and for the past 6 years, we’ve worked hard to make that belief a reality through our partnership with food redistribution charity FareShare South West. Now, we’re proud to announce that with the help of our customers, we’ve surpassed another incredible milestone—over 450,000 meals donated to people facing food insecurity across the South West of England.

Who are FareShare South West?

FareShare South West is part of the national charity network, FareShare, and is the largest food redistribution charity in the region. Their mission is to tackle two critical issues: food waste and food poverty. While perfectly good food goes to waste in many industries, FareShare South West steps in to redistribute it to local charities, schools, homeless hostels and food banks, ensuring that nutritious meals reach those who need them. With a small, dedicated team and an army of volunteers, FareShare South West distributes food to over 320 organisations every week. Their impact stretches from Bristol to Devon and beyond as they support thousands of vulnerable individuals and families.

Six Years of Impact

Our journey with FareShare South West began 6 years ago when we started donating our funds and surplus meat and fish to help their cause. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how vital their work is—especially during challenging times like the pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. The demand for food has only grown, but so has our commitment. With the support of our customers, we've now hit the 450,000 meal mark, but we’re not stopping there. Our partnership is built on more than just numbers; it’s about shared values. Together, we’re tackling food waste head-on, reducing our environmental footprint, and ensuring that local farmers are supported, all while delivering high-quality, nutritious food to people who need it most.
