We’re always on the lookout for exciting new recipes to test out in the Field & Flower kitchen. Summer is fast approaching, so we’ve been thumbing through our much-loved recipe books for inspiration. We all enjoy hearing about the dishes you love, so we wanted to share some of our favourite summer recipes and go-to recipe books with you.

Here are the Field & Flower team’s go-to recipe books for delicious summer dishes…

James Mansfield (Co-founder)
"Lots of my favourite summer recipes come from Pitt Cue Co. The Cookbook. It’s packed with amazing sauces and rubs for meat, and inspiration for lesser known cuts that are great for BBQ season."

Vanessa (Office Manager – Direct Sales)
"A Modern Way to Eat
by Anna Jones lays out some really simple ways to use spices, fresh herbs and other accent flavours to add big flavour to really simple dishes. It’s also fantastic for soup and salad ideas. It definitely makes it easy to bring your cooking up a notch by doing some very simple things."

Willow (Office and Customer Team Manager)
"Everyday Superfood by Jamie Oliver is my go-to recipe book. My favourite recipe from it is griddled steak & peppers with herby jewelled tabbouleh. It’s perfect for summer."

Pandora (Outbound Manager)
"I love The Medicinal Chef by Dale Pinnock because I am all about using food as medicine! It’s informative and wholesome and very versatile. ‘Pip & Nut: The Nut Butter Cookbook’ is also great because I have an excess of nut butter in my kitchen and the book has some pretty funky ideas about how to use it. In the summer I love making lamb shawarma with homemade humus and a pomegranate and red onion salad with loads of leaves, coriander and lime juice."

Keith (Head of Direct Sales)
"The recipes in 30-Minute Meals by Jamie Oliver are nice and simple. They’re perfect if you haven’t got long to put something together. My favourite summer recipe is garlic lamb skewers with salad and lots of pitta bread."

Charlotte (Customer Team)
"I have two go-to cookbooks. Number one is Nigella Lawson’s How to Be a Domestic Goddess. Every recipe works perfectly and is utterly delicious. Number two is Felicity Cloake’s Perfect. She tests lots of different recipes to find the perfect way to cook something and creates her own recipe from her findings. One of my favourite all year recipes is Yotam Ottolenghi’s Stuffed Aubergine with Lamb & Pine Nuts. It’s delicious and is wonderful served with a pomegranate mint yoghurt and a spiced lemon and almond pilaf."

Carlos (Shows Manager)
"My go to recipe book is The Family Meal: Home Cooking with Ferran Adrià. This iconic Michelin Starred chef has created a simple, family recipe book with a mixture of modern and traditional recipes. My favourite recipe to cook in the summer is the breaded Chicken Caesar salad with Caesar dressing and parmesan shavings. The recipe includes cherry tomatoes, lettuce, finely diced apple and crushed walnuts."

Rachel (Content Coordinator)
"Leon’s Naturally Fast Food has to be my favourite recipe book. It’s packed with inspiration for every meal, from breakfast smoothies to fresh salads and one-pot dishes. It also includes a guide to growing windowsill herbs, which is great because there’s nothing better than cooking with fresh, homegrown herbs. They’ve even snuck in some cocktail recipes!"
