Free Range Frenchbeer Turkey Breast Joint (1kg)

Our Frenchbeer turkeys are slowly grown, then slaughtered on farm, dry plucked and game hung to both enrich the breast meat and tenderise the leg meat. This process also makes sure there's fat under the skin, and because of game hanging, this moisture is locked in for cooking, resulting in deliciously moist breast meat.

Well-known for a rich flavour and tender, moist meat, these turkeys are reared slowly on a whole food diet by our farmer John on his family farm in Devon. Free to roam, foraging as they please and housed safely overnight in small groups, the care and attention put into rearing the birds results in a flavour like no other.

This is a raw product that must be cooked. Store below 3°C.
Cooking times may vary depending on your oven. We always recommend using a meat thermometer and keeping an eye on the internal temperature, removing when it reads 72 degrees. Try pairing with any of our free-range stuffings or make your own using our free-range sausage meat.

1. Remove your turkey joint from the fridge 1 hour before you want to cook it.
2. Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.
3. Place the joint into a roasting tray.
4. Roast the joint for 40 minutes, keeping an eye on the internal temperature. If the bacon is getting too dark for your preference, pop some tin foil over the top to protect it.
5. When the internal temperature has reached 72°C, remove the joint from the oven and rest for 15 minutes before carving.

We've chosen this joint for our Christmas dinner for several years now, it's moist and delicious and lasts for several meals with no waste.

Wonderful tender turkey breast - easily cooked to Field & Flowers' instructions. Roasted hot with full Christmas dinner and afterwards cold in sandwiches and with pickles - stilll tender and moist for a couple of days. I'm also impressed with Field & Flowers' LEG UP campaign to donate excess turkey legs to charity rather than go to waste. Supporting small-scale farmers whilst also supporting those in need.

The turkey breast joint was really very good, not dry at all. Normally Iwould order a whole turkey but as there were few of us , ot would have been a waste.. I was pleasantly suprised by the brest joint

Turkey joint was a disaster. Cooked as per instructions and raw inside. Put back in the oven for a further 30mins and still undercooked. Timings completely thrown out and ended up with no centerpiece for Christmas dinner. Not had this problem before with F&F so hopefully just a one off.
