Our Smoked Back Bacon comes thick cut and full of flavour. Traditionally smoked and dry-cured, it comes from our finest free-range pork belly and it won't shrink in the pan. Add it to your morning fry-up or serve in a white crusty roll with lashings of butter and brown sauce. Available here in a handy family pack, it's great for batch cooking or feeding a crowd.


Our bacon and gammon is traditionally dry cured in order to gently preserve the meat, without the need to speed up the process. Our curers say that the secret ingredient is time. The pork that we cure is sourced from passionate pig farmers in England, where the pigs are slowly reared on a natural diet. They are truly free-range meaning they are born and reared in fields all year around with straw bedded huts for shelter. This contributes to pork with great texture and incredible depth of flavour and supports our free-range pork industry.

Literally, the best bacon we have ever bought! We used to buy supermarket premium bacon, but decided to try this because of a general suspicion about lowering welfare standards with the supermarket offering, despite the 'premium'. The difference in quality between this bacon and the supposedly premium supermarket bacon is notable! This bacon has superior flavour. It is leaner, with more meat on a rasher, and with thicker rashes without being OTT. In comparison, the supermarket 'superior' bacon I used to buy feels wet and a little slimy when you take it out of the packet, and the rasher decreases in size when cooked. It is thinner with far more fat, and the flavour is not quite on the same level as this bacon from F&F. Since we opt to get one major delivery per month from Field and Flower, we had previously decided just to buy bacon weekly from the supermarket because of regular breakfast use. But trying this bacon from F&F has been a game-changer. We will buy more of this bacon from F&F and put it in the freezer, and forget the supermarket stuff! Amazed it took me so long to discover how good this is, considering we have been a customer for nearly 3 years!
