Connecting farming communities to people who care

Job Role

Marketing Executive

Location: Shepton Mallet (Flexible, Hybrid Working)
Contract: Part-time or full-time (open to discussion)
Pay: Competitive (based on experience)

Who are we?
Field & Flower was founded in 2011 by two friends after meeting at agricultural university, one a farmer and the other a food lover. We are a leading UK food subscription business specialising in grass fed, free-range meat and responsibly caught fish, connecting farming communities to people that care.

Job overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, creative Marketing Executive to join our team. This is a broad and exciting role spanning content creation, email marketing, social media, PR, and customer retention. You’ll work closely with the Head of Growth to deliver marketing activity across all of our channels, from concept through to execution.

You’ll be comfortable picking up a camera or an iPhone to capture content in the moment, just as much as you are writing a compelling customer email or briefing a freelancer on a shoot. If you love variety, creativity, and making things happen, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities
• Own day-to-day delivery of the commercial marketing plan, turning strategy into briefs, timelines and finished assets
• Own the delivery of marketing materials including leaflets, guides and printed collateral
• Lead creation of photo and video assets across web, social and marketing channels
• Lead social media activity (primarily Instagram), from concept to scheduling and performance tracking
• Writing clear, warm, on-brand copy across the customer journey — emails, leaflets, postcards, web pages, packaging inserts and social where needed.
• Track and understand KPIs across all marketing channels, reporting back to the Head of Growth on performance and the impact of our activities
• Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent, timely output
• Support new product and range launches, by assisting on photoshoots and organising website and email comms
• Develop content opportunities around farms and suppliers, including organising visits for content and PR
• Support PR activity, including press relationships and product send-outs
• Brief and manage designers, photographers and freelancers to deliver high-quality, on-brand work
• Project manage customer acquisition, retention and reactivation campaigns
• Support delivery of the retention strategy across email, print, events and outbound channels
• Act as the point of contact internally when the wider team needs marketing input or collateral
• Manage shared files and brand assets for easy team access

What we’re looking for
• A creative, hands-on marketing executive who takes ownership and can deliver in a fast-paced environment
• Proven marketing experience, ideally within food, FMCG or a consumer brand
• A genuine interest in food, provenance, farming and storytelling
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and a sharp eye for brand, content and consistency
• Confident creating content in-house
• Comfortable working with a Head of Growth and cross-functionally, whilst managing external partners and freelancers
