Nine times out of ten we can – there are very few cuts that we can’t provide for you. Just give us a call or send us an email we’d be more than happy to discuss the items that you would like not currently on our website.
Yes there is. One of the advantages about buying a regular box from us is that the price per kilo for each product does tend to be lower.
No our products are not certified organic, but we do only work with traditional free-range farmers. The handful of farmers that we choose to work with we look on a purely individual basis sourcing from only small extensive farms in the West Country that meet our high standard requirements i.e. only farming traditional free-range breeds, ensuring the highest animal welfare, providing only grass-fed and natural diets, and being as local to us on Home Farm as possible so your food miles are kept to an absolutely minimum.Animal welfare is the top priority for all of our farmers and we believe that we go above and beyond the criteria of what The Soil Association (SA) states for those farms needed to be certified organic. According to The SA, a cattle’s diet for example need only be 60% grass and 40% organic feed (processed grains etc) so the animal isn’t being fed a completely natural diet. Our cattle however are fed 100% grass throughout their entire lives which not only adds to the exceptional animal welfare that we ensure, but also the brilliant taste of our beef and the healthy benefits that come when eating grass-fed meat.
No. None of our meat is slaughtered in accordance with religious practices. We use a small local abattoir in North Somerset that is run by the University of Bristol (veterinary department) who use only traditional British methods.
Yes there is a minimum spend of £20 excluding delivery.
Yes, all our boxes stay cool for 36 hours. We use 100% recyclable boxes packed with ice packs which keep the products chilled giving you plenty of time to come home and pick up your order after it has been delivered.
Payment for regular box orders are set up through a reoccurring payment, not a direct debit which means we only take the money when we can see that you have an order due. Payment is taken 10 days before your next box will be delivered unless you tell us otherwise.
Of course, this is no problem at all. You can either push the date of your next order back to a more convenient day or just sent us an email or give us a call and we'll be happy to arrange it for you.
Yes absolutely - you're in complete control. If you just log in to your account and clock 'update my preferences' then you can amend it through here.
Of course. Just log in to your account and amend your basket accordingly. Remember to hit the ‘confirm’ button on the top left so that it can be processed with your amendments.
This isn’t something that you can do yourself. You will have to give us a call or send us an email and we can then update your account from our end. Please note, for security reasons we are unable to view your current card details so we can’t tell you what card is already on your account.
All of our boxes are 100% recyclable so you can dispose of them with your usual recycling.
You can reuse these; simply put them in the freezer and use them again and again.
We’ll be sad to see you go, but if you’re wanting to cancel your regular box with us just give us a call or send us a quick email and we can arrange this for you. We hate wastage as much as you do, so in conjunction with our terms and conditions please be aware that all cancellations must be made 10 days before your next box is due to be delivered.
When comparing meat from animals who have enjoyed a grass-fed diet in comparison to grains, there are certainly many more health benefits. It has advantage of being much higher in healthy fats such as Omega 3's & CLA. These are the key to reducing body fat and helping to maintain lean muscle mass. With 4 times more Vitamins A & E in grass-fed meat the body produces much more quality glycoproteins for building critical muscle mass, and creatine for muscle energy. The yellow fat on grass-fed meat means it's rich in nutrients like carotenoids & beta-carotene which have been proven to reduce the risk of disease. Plus, it tastes great.
All our Veal is British Rose and RSPCA British premium food accredited. We’ve taken our time in sourcing our Veal because it’s so important that it’s from the right place and the right quality.
Traceability and welfare is at the very heart of the field&flower butchery. We believe by giving the animals the happiest life, they will produce the best quality meat. We regularly update our customers via our website, social media channels and newsletters about what our farmers are up to, and host free events for our customers every few months to meet our farmers and see how we work. In every box that you receive from us we always include a newsletter that tells you the breed of the animal, name of the farm it came from as well as the kill and butchery date so you are guaranteed traceability. We want our customers to know exactly where the meat has come from, and to know we’re using the most ethical practice possible. The farmers gate is always open for a visit too.

We only deliver on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Unfortunately at the moment we aren’t able to specify an exact time window, but your box is guaranteed to arrive between 8am and 7.00pm on your chosen day.
All our deliveries are £3.95, whether as a one-off box, from the farm shop or as a regular order.
You can specify any safe location on the delivery instructions on your account. The majority of our customers aren’t in when we deliver their box so we leave them in front porches, garages, sheds, with next door neighbours, behind the front garden hedge, communal entrance halls or in an upturned recycling box. It’s completely up to you, but if no designated area has been specified and our courier service doesn’t feel that it is safe to leave, we will take it back and redeliver another time.
