Cooked slowly, this brisket will relax into a tender joint of meat, easily cut or pulled with just the side of a fork. Let’s also not forget our smokey BBQ sauce which will have you thinking you’re in Texas y’all.
Preheat the oven to Gas mark 4, 180˚C, 150˚C fan.
Remove plastic outer film and the sauce sachet.
Open the vacuum package and place in the centre of the oven for 30-35 minutes.
Remove from the oven, discard foil tray and any juices.
Take two forks, place one into the meat and pull the meat apart with the other to create a shredded effect.
Pour contents of the sauce sachet over the shredded meat and mix.
For a true authentic BBQ touch, after slow cooking, carefully place the brisket on a BBQ or griddle, turning every 5 minutes or so until lightly charred.
If you’re feeling all-out American, serve with corn on the cob, smoky beans and chips. Alternatively, it’s just as good hot or cold in a sandwich with some hot pepper sauce and gherkins.
